Christian Huyge has cornered the market by selling homes for top dollar, helping buyers complete their home ownership dream, and ensure investors’ portfolios are headed in the right direction. Although many real estate agents may claim this as their skill set, Christian has a proven track record that speaks for itself.

In Christians "former" life he was the REO specialist for a large bank during the foreclosure crisis, in which Christian managed all the bank's foreclosure properties. His job was to assess what repairs and upgrades needed to happen to garner the largest return on investment. Christian oversaw every aspect, from hiring contractors, and tracking budgets, to getting homes sold. This catapulted Christian’s curiosity into investing, in which he has dabbled in flipping, and holding long and short-term rentals. This hands-on approach offers his clients real world knowledge on the ins and outs of investing, repairs, costs, and so much more. 

After 5 years in this role, Christian realized that he loved what he was doing, and if he could thrive selling the hardest-to-move properties on the market, imagine what he could do for clients in the residential market. So, he took his vast network of service providers, and knowledge of construction and financing and started a residential real estate firm with a friend and broker, Steve Millman, called Polaris Real Estate.

Competition and hard work aren’t just traits in Christian’s professional life. Christian is a health and fitness fanatic as well as a huge sports fan and basketball coach. He and his wife, Madeline, and their young son Bryson and daughter Liv love spending time outdoors at a local park, taking trips to see our great state's natural beauty, or just playing at home in Eastown.

An Eastown native, Christian purchased a home in one of GR's most vibrant communities and completely renovated it, stating the work is never done, there is always something I feel like I want to change or improve. He goes on to say that it is the fun of home ownership. Giving back is a huge part of what drives Christian. He has been involved in various missions to Haiti and currently sits as Family Promise of West Michigan’s board vice president. Christian comments "Family Promise has been an eye opener for me, understanding the everyday need of homeless families living on the street and understanding that homelessness is not just the person on the corner. There are full families sleeping in cars, out in tents, or simply on someone’s floor or couch. This is such a worthy cause to try and end homelessness, one family at a time."
